We warmly welcome international participants to the ISICAS-2024 Conference! To assist you in preparing for your visit, we’ve compiled essential visa information. Please review the details below to ensure a smooth application process. A letter from ISICAS-2024 confirming your participation, including details of the event and its relevance to your visit, will be provided upon request after registration.

Depending on your nationality, you may need a visa to enter the host country (India). We encourage you to check the specific visa requirements for your country by visiting the official Indian government visa website or contacting your local Indian embassy or consulate.

  • Countries with Visa Exemption: Certain countries may be eligible for visa-free travel to India or have a Visa on Arrival agreement. Please check the eligibility before making travel plans.
  • E-Visa Availability: India offers an e-Visa service for nationals from over 160 countries. This can be applied for online and is typically processed quickly.

Ensure that your visa is valid for the entire duration of your stay in India, including additional travel time if you plan on extending your visit.

The ISICAS Team has received Political clearance and No objection from the Ministry of External Affairs for the participants of the following countries:
  • Austria
  • Kazakhstan
  • Indonesia
  • Malaysia
  • Republic of Korea
  • France
  • Japan
  • Spain

If you are from the above nationalities, kindly send a request for VISA Invitation after a successful registration by filling the form here. We expect to get the clearances for other nationalities very soon.

If the participants does not belong to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Sudan foreigners of Pakistani origin, and are stateless persons (PRC category) PRC or if participants are not required to visit "Restricted" or "protected" areas in India, or areas affected by terrorism, militancy and extremism, etc. viz. Jammu & Kashmir and the North Eastern States (other than states of Manipur,Mizoram and Nagaland) then no need to be take prior permission.

Guidelines for security/event clearance of Ministry of Home Affairs

1. As per extant instructions, security/event clearance of Ministry of Home affairs is required only in case one or both of the following conditions as met:
  • (A). Events involving participants from the Prior Reference category(PRC) countries i.e, Afghanistan, Iraq,Sudan, foreigners of Pakistani Origin, and stateless Persons.
  • (B). Events where participants are required to visit "Restricted" or "Protected" areas in India,or the areas affected by terrarism, militancy and exterism etc. viz. Jammu & Kashmir and the North Eastern states(Other than the States of manipur,Mizoram and Nagaland).
2.If the event /conference attracts one or both of the above said Provisions only then a complete proposal at least 30 days prior to the commencement of the event, Mentoring the details of foreign participants as indicated in the following format may be submitted to this Office.

3.Indian missions are authorized to issue conference visas for the event NOT covered under the conditions mentioned in Para 1 as above to all delegates on production of an invitition to a conference/seminar/workshop being organized in india by a ministry or Department of the Government of India, state government or UT administrations, Public sector undertakings, Central Educational Institutions, Public Funded Universities [list of such institutions is available on the website www.mhrd.gov.in and the website of the University Grants Commission (www.ugc.ac.in)], or an organization owned and controlled by the Government of india or any State Government/UT,United nations or its Specialized agencies. If the conferecne/seminar/workshop is sponsored by an NGO or a Private instittution, The Mission would satisfy, as per instructions conveyed to them, before granting visa to the participants except in cases as mentioned in para 2 (a) and (b) above. If the Mission concerned has any doubt about the background of the sponsoring NGO/private institution, only then the matter may be referred to MEA and MHA for verfication of the back ground of the NGo/Private institution concerned.
